We organize trips from the autumn to spring in Gorce, Beskid, Tatra and throughout the whole year in the Alps.
Do You want to learn skiing? You will learn skitouring and skiing with us! If you do not know if this is for you and you have not purchased the equipment, rent it with us and then you can even buy your own better equipment. You will see how to approach the ski in the easy and difficult terrain, how to choose the technique for a given terrain and its slope, where to go to the mountains in a given month, you will come under the instructor’s eye to places where you would never have entered yourself. You will learn to use the most efficient type of mountain transport in the winter (not counting the helicopter). You will get to the top easier, you will go in a dozen or so minutes – this is Skitouring. Saving time and strength. We start with easy turns in Gorce, then in the Tatras. People after 3-day training we can go to the Alps for weekly trips combined with extended training. This is really for everyone who is at least a little fit. Beautiful views inaccessible in winter are now possible to view. A short day in winter prevents you from reaching the summit. What is skitouring?
The Cumbre school organizes skitouring courses, ie a combination of winter tourism and alpine skiing. We need special bindings, shoes and skis as well as seals and sticks. Skiing down skis is a bit harder than skiing carving. Actually, to get a good ride on the ski you need to be a good skier.
From what should we start and what can we offer you?
First, you should go through a two-day skitour training. If you have a multi-day experience with rounds, let us invite you to the ski races in Gorce, Beskid, Tatra and Alps. In addition, we organize skytrain workshops on Fridays from November to April. It is on them that one-day rounds and ski trips and supplementary trainings take place, in other words tricks and ravens in the mountains.
Do I have to ski before I start skitouring?
Not necessarily. Many turns lead up, but you can go down easy terrain without having to exit. Of course, it’s better if you can use the downhill techniques. This can also be learned with us during skitouring.

Beginner course
The training lasts 2 days (Saturday-Sunday). Skiing training includes the attitude of ski equipment (skitouring) and basic skills of moving in skiing adapted for mountaineering and off-piste, exercising with mountaineering equipment, moving around in crayfish and waiting for winter tourism, mountaineering. The training ends with an entrance, i.e. a ski tour and a summit exit. The level is adapted to the participants of the course. It is recommended to combine this training with an avalanche course adapted to the skitour activity (ski tourism). The avalanche course is the basis of safety and its skier variety is a richer offer with a standard winter tourism course. Skitour equipment can be rented at the Cumbre Climbing School for the whole weekend.
Skitouring in the Alps can be practiced all year round! This is where you can go in the period April – November, when we have no more snow. The full range offer in the period April – November is on our page in the trips.
Skiing holidays – ski trips We run ski tours to various peaks in the country and abroad. Depending on the turn time, ie 1, 2 or 6 days. It’s best to sign up in advance, arrange equipment at the rental office and state the level of advancement. We choose the date and level of the trip to you. It is necessary to plan 14 days in advance! There is no shortage of willing people, and the instructor will not get torn apart :).
Skiing skitours – skittles – one-day tours We invite you to skrajowe Fridays. The offer of entries is rich, requires only one day. Usually, around 5:00 pm, we are already at home. The rounds are interesting and we teach various additional tricks that are not taught in the basic skitur training. So what is the turn – there is something new. We also learn skiing.
